Day 01: Arrival in Delhi

As you arrive at New Delhi International Airport in Delhi, a representative from Colours of Rajasthan will greet and meet you. You would be transferred to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 02: Delhi – Sariska (180 km / 3-4 hrs. approx.)

Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. And then proceed for a short city tour in Delhi before departing for the next destination Sariska. Visit the Raj Path (the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi) Red Fort (a historical fort built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan after shifting his capital from Agra to Delhi, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Jama Masjid (the largest mosque in India that can accommodate at one more than 25,000 people), India Gate (a war memorial monument of national importance, dedicate to those soldiers who laid their lives during the first world war), Rashtrapati Bhawan (the official residence of the President of India) and the nearby Sansad Bhawan, the Parliament House of India. If time permits you may also visit the Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb. Both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

After a short city tour in Delhi, depart for Sariska in Rajasthan. On reaching Sariska check-in at the hotel. Freshen up and relax. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 03: Game Drive at Sariska Tiger Reserve

Located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan state, Sariska is a popular wildlife sanctuary, national park, and tiger reserve. It is famous as Sariska Tiger Reserve and best known for its rich flora and fauna. It has been one of the best places to visit in North India for nature lovers, bird watchers, wildlife lovers, and adventure enthusiasts. Major wild animals found in this park are tiger, leopard, striped hyena, jungle cat, caracal, chital, sambar, Indian jackal, four-horned antelope, chinkara, nilgai, hanuman langur, hare, wild boar, and monkey. Grey partridge, Indian peafowl, white-throated kingfisher, sandgrouse, bush quail, treepie, crested serpent eagle, golden-backed woodpecker, and the Indian eagle-owl are major bird species found in Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary. Sariska Palace, a former royal hunting lodge, is also worth visiting.

Today you will enjoy morning and afternoon jungle safari by jeep in Sariska Tiger Reserve for wildlife viewing and bird watching. You will also visit Sariska Palace, a former royal hunting lodge. Breakfast, Dinner, and Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 04: Sariska – Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary (120 Km / 2.30 hrs. approx.)

Post breakfast drive toward Bharatpur, a site of very popular Keoladeo Ghana National Park, also called Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Freshen up and relax. Then proceed to visit and explore the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary that dwells 366 bird species, 379 floral species, 50 species of fish, 13 species of snakes, 5 species of lizards, 7 amphibian species, and 7 turtle species. The bird park is one of the richest bird areas in the world and is best known for the water birds and migratory birds such as Siberian cranes.

The rare Siberian cranes used to winter in this park but this central population is now extinct. Enjoy a rickshaw ride for birding inside the bird sanctuary. On-time return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 05: Bharatpur – Ranthambore (200 km / 4 hrs. approx.)

Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel and then drive to Ranthambore National Park, one of the best national parks in North India, located in Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. On arrival at Ranthambore, you would be transferred to your pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening have a nature walk in the surrounding area. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 06: Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambore is a popular national park, tiger reserve, and wildlife sanctuary in Rajasthan. It is bestknown for its large tiger population. It is one of the best places in India where you can easily spot a tiger even during the daytime basking under the sun. If it is often said that if you cannot spot a tiger in the sanctuary then you are an unlucky person. Not only tigers but there are also several other animal species found in this park. Some other animals found in the park include spotted deer (chital), sambar deer, leopard, striped hyena, sloth bear, wild boar, blue bull (nilgai), gray langur, monkey, etc. The park is also home to many birds, reptiles, trees&plant species. In fact, Ranthambore has rich flora and fauna. The sanctuary is also home to one of the largest banyan trees in India. Ranthambore Fort is also a key attraction within the sanctuary.

In the morning, proceed for a jungle safari and wildlife viewing in Ranthambore National Park & Tiger Reserve. Return to the hotel room for breakfast. Afternoon safari is also to be experienced in the jungle. You will also visit Ranthambore Fort during jungle safari. On-time return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 07: Ranthambore – Jaipur (185 km / 2.5 to 3 hrs. approx.)

Take your breakfast at the hotel and then depart for Jaipur, the capital and largest city of Rajasthan state. On arrival in Jaipur, you would be transferred to your pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening you may go explore local markets and make some shopping for yourself, and your near and dear ones. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel as per schedule.

Day 08: Jaipur Sightseeing

After early morning breakfast, proceed to Amer located on the outskirts of the main Jaipur city. Visit the Amer Fort located atop a hill. You will enjoy here elephant ride to ascend the fort complex. Explore the architectural structures inside the fort complex and water the wonderful views of the surroundings. Return to hotel en-route visiting the beautiful Jal Mahal which is an elegant palace situated in the middle of a man-made lake, Maan Sagar Lake. Proceed to explore the city’s main attractions. Visit the City Palace which is a palace complex that houses several beautiful palaces, beautiful courtyards, temples, pavilions, and temples. Visit the Shri Govind Devji Temple, Chandra Mahal, City Palace Museum, and Mubarak Mahal within the palace complex. Then visit Hawa Mahal – the Palace of Wind. It is a unique building that is best known for its stunning architecture and shape that is built in the shape of Lord’s Krishna’s crown. This is why sometimes it is also described as the Crown of Jaipur. It is a 5-stroey structure with 953 small windows called Jharokhas decorated with intricate latticework. Jharokhas were used by royal ladies to see the daily happenings and activities held below on the street without being seen by outside. Thereafter, proceed to visit other attractions such as Jantar Mantar Royal Observatory (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and Albert Hall Museum. Late in the evening, you will be taken to ChokhiDhani, a village resort for dinner. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 09: Jaipur – Delhi (268 km / 5 hrs. approx.) – Departure

Enjoy sumptuous breakfast served at the hotel. Relax for some time and then drive back to Delhi. In Delhi, you would be transferred to Delhi Airport by Colours of Rajasthan Tours representative. Board flight for your home destination with sweet memories of Rajasthan wildlife tours.
