Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

On arrival at New Delhi International Airport, a representative from Colours of Rajasthan Tours will receive you with a warm welcome and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing

Post breakfast, proceed for Delhi sightseeing. Delhi, the National Capital of India, is home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, namely Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, and Qutub Complex or Qutub Minar. There are several other attractions dotted in the various parts of the city including Old Delhi and New Delhi areas. On your Delhi city tour, first of all, take a visit to Raj Ghat – the resting place of Mahatma Gandhi. Later, proceed to visit the Red Fort, also called Lal Kila, a historic monument built by fifth Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan after shifting his capital from Agra to Delhi. Explore various structures inside the fort complex and also visit the Fort Museum. Later, visit the nearby Jama Masjid, the largest mosque of India that can accommodate more than 25000 people at a time. Visit the nearby Shri Digambar Jain Lal Temple. Explore local bustling markets in the Chandni Chowk area.

Return to hotel. After some relaxation and lunch, drive to Rajpath, the ceremonial avenue. Visit the India Gate located astride the Rajpath. India Gate is a war memorial monument of national importance, built in the memory of those brave soldiers who had laid their lives during the First World War. Then visit the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President of India, located on the western edge of Rajpath. Then take a visit to the nearby Sansad Bhawan, the Parliament House of India. Then proceed to visit the famous Humayun’s Tomb which is known for its architectural styles and beautiful gardens. Then proceed to visit the Qutub Minar, another world heritage site in the city. There are several other ruins of historical importance in the Qutub Complex. Later proceed to see the other attractions of Delhi covering Lotus Temple (the Bahai House of Worship known for beautiful architecture), and Laxmi Narayan Mandir (Birla Temple). On-time return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Delhi – Jaipur (268 km / 5 hrs.)

Take breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Freshen up and relax. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or explore local markets in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 4: Jaipur Sightseeing

Jaipur, the capital and largest city of Rajasthan, is an internationally famous tourist destination in India. It is visited by a large number of international and domestic tourists every year. The city is best known for royal hospitality, and historic forts and palaces. The magnificent monuments of Jaipur are proudly narrating the saga of Rajasthan’s grand past and rich history. Jaipur city is famously known as the Pink City of India. And sometimes it is also described as the Gem City.

After early morning breakfast, proceed to Amer Fort & Palace situated in the outskirts of Jaipur city atop a hill. Enjoy an elephant ride to ascend the fort complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the wonderful view of Jaipur city and the surrounding from the fort. Return to hotel en-route visiting the Jal Mahal, a beautiful palace situated in the middle of a man-made lake Man Sagar Lake.

After lunch, proceed to explore the city’s attractions. Go to visit the City Palace which is basically a palace complex consisting of several palatial palaces, courtyards, pavilions, corridors, gardens, and temples. See the Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Shri Govind Deoji Temple, and City Palace Museum situated in the palace complex. Visit the Hawa Mahal (the Palace of Winds) which is a distinctive five-stroey architectural wonder with 953 windows (zarokhas) decorated with intricate latticework. Later, take a visit to the Jantar Mantar which is a royal observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the founder of Jaipur. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also, visit the Albert Hall Museum. Day 5: Jaipur – Agra (256 km / 5 hrs.) (En-route Fatehpur Sikri visit)

Have a delicious breakfast at the hotel and then take a drive to Agra en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Fatehpur Sikri is a town in the Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. It was founded by Mughal Emperor as his capital but soon he abandoned this city due to scarcity of drinking water. Here you will see several historic monuments and ruins. Major attractions to see may include Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, Rani Jodha Bai Palace, Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chishti, Ibadat Khana, and Birbal House.

After exploring Fatehpur Sikri, continue your journey to reach Agra, a historical city located in the state of Uttar Pradesh. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Freshen up and relax at the hotel. And then take a visit to Agra Fort, also called the Red Fort or Lal Kila of Agra. It is a historical Mughal monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. . Shahjahani Mahal, Jahangir’s Hauz, Jahangir’s Chain of Justice, Shah Burj & Jharokha, and Shish Mahal are major attractions inside the fort complex. Explore local markets in the evening. On-time return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Agra Sightseeing

In the early morning take a visit to the very famous Taj Mahal. Enjoy the sunrise view of the Taj. Taj Mahal is a mausoleum built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the loving memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, after his death. It is one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture. This is why it is also described as the Symbol of Love. Built-in pure white marble, the beauty of the Taj Mahal will never fail to impress you. The Taj Mahal is also the New7Wonders of the World. Return to the hotel and take your breakfast. Later proceed for Agra city tour to see other attractions. Take a visit to the Tomb of Itimad-Ud-Daulah that was built by Mughal empress Noor Jahan, the wife of Emperor Jahangir, in the memory of her father. The monument is often described as the Jewel Box or the Baby Taj or the Draft of Taj Mahal due to its exceptional architectural beauty and lavish decoration. Day 7: Agra – Jhansi (by train) – Orchha – Khajuraho

Have a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. On-time you will be transferred to Agra Railway Station to board the train to Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. From here take a drive to Khajuraho en-route visiting the historical town of Orchha, Madhya Pradesh. Orchha is best-known for historical monuments including palaces and temples. Visit here sites like Raj Mahal, Ram Raja Temple, Purana Mandir, Royal Chhatris, Lakshmi Temple, and Jahangir Mahal. Continue your journey to reach Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh. Day 8: Khajuraho – Varanasi

Post breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour in Khajuraho which is a temple city located in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Day 9: Varanasi Sightseeing

Enjoy a morning boat ride on the Ganges River and see the holy ghats. Also, see the morning Aarti held at the banks of the Ganges River. Return to hotel. Take breakfast and some rest. Thereafter proceed for Varanasi sightseeing covering famous temples, holy ghats, and other key attractions. Visit the famous temples such as Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Manas Mandir, Birla Temple, and Sankat Mochan. Also, take a visit to Benaras Hindu University. Day 10: Varanasi – Delhi (by flight)

After early morning breakfast, take an excursion to Sarnath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Chaukhandi Stupa, Dhamek Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, and Sarnath Museum. Return to hotel. Day 11: Delhi – Onward
